Copper Mountain, CO

We just got back from skiing in Copper Mountain, Colorado. We could not have had a better time. Everything went our way and then some. Chad and I went with my high school friend, Angie & her boyfriend, Von who live in D.C. It was more than I had expected. First of all, Angie & Von went out a night earlier than us and picked up our "mini-van." They upgraded our car(I'll give props to our rental company b/c they deserve it....Thrifty rental) w/out us even asking to a brand new white Suburban. Von was estatic b/c he was the driver and I don't think he wanted to sport a mini-van to the mountain so this upgrade started our vaca on the right foot. Chad is now thinking this will be our next vehicle. I doubt it as I'm the one who will be driving our next vehicle and I don't think I can manage it. Then we had fresh snow each day and the locals actually said it was the best "real" snow they've had all winter. We had great luck and a ton of fun.

Chad, Von & Angie on one of our first runs
Can you read the caution sign? This may have been when Chad and I decided to take another route. Good idea, huh?

Heading down to Center Village

Right before tapas & wine at C.B. Grille

Chad took a pic like this in Napa so we couldn't pass it up
The best run: Timbercreek (after avoiding the "caution" sign run)
It was snowing bad

More snow on the ice skating rink
These are my first video uploads so I hope they work. Chad did a lot of self videos, but I couldn't video at the same time I was skiing. I'm in the light blue jacket with a white helmet.

Chad passes me and goes quite fast and leaves me.

Another Goliath?

Our friends saw a Goliath look-a-like while on Christmas vacation and brought it back for us. We had some fun. I'm not quite sure that he did.

Exploring his little buddy. I hope he didn't get hurt b/c Goliath can be a booger.

He was ready to get away from the thing. He was a good sport, overall.
